If you are looking for an honest no nonsense mechanic, your search ends here. Wally provides quality service at reasonable cost. You won't have to worry about Wally selling you services you don't need. He will tell you what is wrong and provide you options. I might add that Wally is the only Blue Shield mechanic in the area. What that means is the State of California has certified Wally to smog and make any necessary repairs. Most smog places are test only. It is not easy to get the Blue Shield. I don't know about you but I'm willing to pay a little more for work I know need to be made then pay less and be taken for making unnecessary repairs. You won't have that concern here.

Great experience - seriously one of the most pleasant auto-repair experiences i've had. Walt is so kind and very honest. He'll tell you up front he's not the cheapest on stuff like smog but i think relatively competitive pricing on major service. So funny- we felt so relaxed while waiting for the car and my husband and i realized Walt had Disney music playing in the shop...Walt said "Hey, it's better than that music with all of the cursing" TRUE! ...and suddenly we have a hankering to ride It's a Small World. Just one of the many reasons it was such a pleasant experience :) We'll be coming back for years to come. Thanks, Walt!

Had yet another car malfunction. They found the problem, came up with a better solution, explained it thoroughly, and were so communicative about the time to pick up the car. They actually finished early and called us because they knew we needed the car. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Period.

I've used the shop twice now, both with good results. the First time one of my cars would not pass smog and for some reason I was given the opportunity by the State to take it to a certified smog repairer with credit from the state for doing so. Walt's was on the list, this is how I found him. When I called back later, he told me that he re-tested the car and it passed. No charge! Second time I took an old car (45+ years) in for what appeared to be a wheel bearing in the back. Turned out to be much more involved and the differential had to be rebuilt. They found the parts for the old car, did the work and returned all of the old bearings that were clearly bad. And while he had the car in the air he noticed that one of the suspension parts in the rear was mis-aligned. They took that part off, re-pressed in the bushing that wasn't in properly and put it back on at no charge. As someone who does most of the work on his cars himself, I know when my mechanic is on the up-and-up. No hesitation in giving these guys a great recommendation.

No one loves taking their car to the shop for a repair. But, every once in a while something happens that you need to see a mechanic. You can't help but feel that Wally is like a good friend that is taking care of your car. Then after you leave, you feel like you didn't get taken advantage of and the service provided was fair. This was my second experience having him work on my car. I am glad that I don't have to see him that often but when I do, I know I am in good, honest hands.

I've been taking my SUV to Walt's for about 5 years now. Wally and his staff have always been helpful and professional. When my car didn't pass the most recent smog test, Wally was able to find a way to save me a TON of money! I've been to many mechanics over the years, but Wally's is one of the best! Honesty. Integrity. They've saved me a few thousand after the dealer told me without an immediate $2500 intervention my car would never run again. Wally fixed it for less and found the real problem. They replaced my auto window and it broke 10 months later. The replaced it no charge and no questions. They might be more expensive, perhaps, but you really do get what you pay for. It's so hard to find a great mechanic-this is it.

I found Walt's though the California Bureau of Automotive Repair after failing a Smog Test at another shop. First a little background ......I drive a 1998 Ford F150 with almost 300,000 miles. While most everyone I knew told me it was time to stick a fork in the old truck once it failed my initial smog, Wally was able to tackle the job. As most of you know smog repair, and in particular smog repair on an older vehicle with excessive miles, can be a LONG LIST of issues. And my F150 fit that description to a T! Throughout the process of repairing my truck Wally worked with me on each issue. Communicating with me what each problem was and how much it would cost. Never did he try to oversell me or blow smoke up A** about what the truck needed to pass.
