I called Walts first because of their great Yelp Reviews..I wanted to take my car to a mechanic that was trustworthy, and that would do a great job on my vehicle because I drive over 100+ miles per day. Needless to say, I need my car to run perfectly. I originally brought the car in because of groaning breaks, and a flat tire. What Walt and his team found, was that my car was running on unsafe tires, practically non-existent brakes, and an alignment problem that was causing me to fly through tires every year. Walt finished working on my car in a very reasonable time frame, and gave me an extremely fair deal on the parts and labor! I've waited a few weeks to write my review, because I wanted to be sure my car really ran perfectly since being at Walt's shop. I have been extremely impressed on how different my car feels. It runs and drives tighter, I feel more safe out on the road, and I can genuinely tell a difference in how well the car is driving. I highly recommend checking out Walts Service next time you need your vehicle maintained! Quick service, high quality work, and honest mechanics, I couldn't ask for more.

I brought my '85 Scottsdale into Walt's because the water pump failed on the highway. An appointment for SMOG was scheduled for a Monday, and the truck was towed in on a Sunday. Within the day the shop had the pump fixed and also found the source of a really annoying noise. I am thankful Wally was straight with me at all times, and I understood his concern about the age of my vehicle. Thank you Wally for doing all you could for me.

He is so good I almost don't want other people going to him and making him busy! But bottom line he and his team are excellent mechanics and when they say they are going to do something, they do it. They care. Walt's Danville Service is the best out there, bar none.

I first went to Wally with a problem with my 2007 Saab 9-5 after another mechanic had misdiagnosed the problem, Wally identified the issue and fixed it without a problem. I have used his services about four times since

His customer service is stellar, and he also accepts service contracts, which is a big plus. I would highly recommend Wally and his crew.

We've been taking our cars to Wally for several years now. He is honest and considerate and is willing to take as much time as needed to discuss the repairs. He's done maintenance, repair and body work on three of our cars and I've never been disappointed. He's also very personable, and one of the few people who can get me to smile while he's delivering bad news to me. I've recommended Wally to all my friends.

Wally at Walt's gets two big thumbs up. We have used him for about 9 years and he has always done a great job. The one time I was a little put off by a price he quoted me, I did get a second quote, and it was just about the same(so we went with Walt's!). That led me to believe his pricing is competitive. The reason we are writing this now is that several months ago, Wally went above and beyond. My wife's 14 year old Honda minivan gave us a scare when it started shutting down at freeway speeds and the smoking from the steering wheel. We had it towed 50 miles to Walt's after hours. I left a voicemail for Wally explaining the situation, and by later the next morning, he had diagnosed the problem. His research revealed that the car had been recalled many years before because of an electrical issue where the ignition could catch fire. He charged us for his diagnostic to make sure there wasn't any extensive damage, but then he called a Honda dealership of his own initiative and confirmed with them that they could probably do the ignition replacement at no cost even though the warranty was expired. We had the car towed to the dealer, and Wally offered to speak to their service people if they didn't come through for us. So we got a new ignition and didn't pay for it. Wally easily could have not looked into the recall, could have told us the car needed a new ignition and just charged us for it, etc. his honesty and his genuine caring showed through. We'd send friends to him without hesitation!

I have been using Walt for years! He is honest and fair. He and his team do not look for more things to replace. He even gave me suggestions on great cars to purchase so I get the most value out of it!

I need some more work on my Mercedes and you are the best. However the cop that gave me the $471 U-turn ticket without any first time warning will keep me out of San Ramon forever.

I have been a customer of Walt since 2004. First off, I grew up in Detroit as a true blue car enthusiast and i feel I know automobiles better than the average bear. And, I have been in the service business myself (not automotive) for 37 years. Add to that, I am frugal with how I spend my $$$ and know value when it appears. Oh, almost forgot, I can be hard to please. I have a wonderful 1996 Jeep Grande Cherokee - Orvis Edition that is a real gem and a keeper. Still looks new and the interior is unmatched, my wife drives it is on top of the world every time she gets behind the wheel. The Jeep has 116,000 miles on it and it gets serviced every 3,000 miles, all by the book. This past year was an expensive year as at this millage point things tend to need repair. No only was Wally able to solve a very perplexing "Death Wobble" issue accurately and completely for far less cash than the dealer, but got it right the first time. It came out riding like new, not joking, it is amazing. Then we had a slow coolant leak, remember, the Jeep is 17 years old and cooling systems suffer from corrosion and wear. We went forward to fully rebuild virtually the entire system (less expensive to do it all at once as many parts are hidden under other parts and when it is apart down to the water pump it even made sense to do the timing chain as well. He even solved a very aggravating slow oil drip too. The workmanship was done to a T. as my scheduled oil change was coning up, the Jeep gave us a "Low Coolant" alert. When in for the oil change today Wally checked the cooling system that was overhauled last summer and found the new radiator was seeping coolant at a seam. He ordered the part and installed it the same day, and best of all, at NO CHARGE. Sure, it was the obvious right thing to do, but believe me, many shops would have found a way to extract some dollars to compensate for the time spent on a warranty repair that was not the fault of the servicer. (after all, Wally did not make the part) The most amazing thing was Wally even looked a little bit embarrassed that his repair previous repair needed to be worked on again. I can read people and if you watch the body language and the look in the eye it reveals a lot. Wally is in it for the long haul and he is the best. In this world now where most people are so marginally capable and don't even care, Walt's Danville Service is a breath of fresh air. Running a shop like this is expensive, especially with all the regulatory hoops to jump through, the price is not cheap, but always fair. I am happy to pay for good service and I always get what I pay for here.
